Gently guided maternity photography that honors the beauty, anticipation, and quiet transformation of becoming a mother.
Before you meet them, remember this version of you.
Serving Maple Grove, Minneapolis, and families throughout the Twin Cities.
So much of pregnancy is spent preparing for what comes next—the appointments, the nursery, the lists, the waiting.
It can be easy to forget that you are changing right alongside everything else.
Your maternity session is a chance to slow down and remember this version of yourself: the anticipation, the connection, and the body carrying you into a new chapter.
I’ll gently guide you throughout the session so you feel comfortable and cared for, while leaving room for photographs that still feel natural and unmistakably you.
This is where I’d stop. I don’t think maternity needs quite as much intro copy as newborn.
I was so nervous going into our session — my toddler doesn't sit still for anything. She met us exactly where we were, gave us just enough direction to feel confident, and somehow captured moments I didn't even realize were happening. These are photos we'll have forever.

Maternity Photography FAQs
You’re welcome to reach out during pregnancy so we can plan ahead, but there’s no strict two-week window for my lifestyle approach. If your baby is already here, reach out anyway—we can document the stage you’re in now.
That’s okay. I photograph both newborns and babies, so sessions can be planned around the stage your baby is in now rather than trying to fit into a narrow newborn window.
Newborn photography captures those earliest weeks, while baby photography follows the little stages that come after—gummy smiles, tummy time, sitting, crawling, and all the personality that starts to emerge. I offer both so you never have to feel like you “missed the window.”
My approach is gently guided lifestyle photography rather than highly posed newborn photography. I'll help position your family comfortably and make adjustments for light, composition, and connection, but I don't expect your baby to hold elaborate poses or perform for the camera.
The goal is for your photographs to still feel like your baby.
Yes. Newborn + Baby sessions are centered on your baby and their connection with you, but siblings are welcome to join for a few photographs. If you’re hoping for a session that gives equal attention to multiple children and your family as a whole, a Family Session will be the better fit.
For a little while, this will all feel completely ordinary. The tiny clothes. The sleepy cuddles. The toys on the floor. The way they reach for you. And then somehow it won't be your everyday anymore.
You don't have to document every second. Just enough that years from now, you can remember what it felt like when it was.
Join my list for seasonal booking dates, behind-the-scenes moments from real sessions, and the occasional print or album offering — nothing more than I'd actually want in my own inbox.
